Classic Lamb Casserole with vegetables
Single Serve for 1 - 350g
High Protein: 44.5g
Lean, hand-trimmed Aussie lamb is gently slow-cooked to a traditional recipe. The lamb, onion, celery and carrots are simmered till tender in our own stock with bay leaf and rosemary. Then and a touch of red wine is added to give true depth of flavour to the sauce. (You can see that the lamb is fall-apart tender in the photo.) Served with our own mashed potato and green beans. To give you the true taste of homely cooking.
Ingredients:
Mash: Potato, milk, cream, unsalted butter (milk, water, milk fat), salt, pepper
Lamb Casserole : Lamb, beef stock (water, beef bones, tomato, tomato paste, onion, carrot, celery, garlic, bayleaf, peppercorn, salt, onion powder, spice), carrot, onion, celery, red wine, plain flour, oil, garlic, tomato paste (concentrated tomato (99%) salt), bay leaf, rosemary, molasses (sugarcane molasses). Green Beans.
Allergen notice: This dish contains wheat and dairy
Heating Instructions:
This casserole can be reheated in the microwave from frozen. However, when we eat these we find that for absolutely best results - ie to keep the lamb at its most tender - it's best to gradually defrost it in the fridge (overnight or during the day) and then quickly heat it up in the microwave once its defrosted. The lamb has been cooked till tender. Please be gentle with it! If you overheat or blast this meal in the microwave the meat will unfortunately go tough.
(Guidelines only - they are dependent upon the power of your microwave)
Open lid. Preferably place meal into a ceramic dish. If not, place container on a plate to heat in microwave. Alternatively, place container on a plate to heat in microwave.
From frozen: heat for 4-6 minutes in microwave. Let stand for 2 minutes
From thawed: Heat for 2-3 minutes in microwave. Let stand for 2 minutes
General notices re allergens:
While we don’t add flavours, preservatives, colours, etc, individual ingredients we use - such as coconut cream/milk, tomato paste, wine, spice mixes, sauces (fish, tabasco, etc) etc - may also contain their own preservatives/additives (although in very small amounts in proportion to the cooked dish).
While our dishes are cooked separately, and every care is taken, this meal has been prepared in a kitchen where meals containing gluten, nuts, seeds, eggs and soy are also made.
