Our chef puts these lamb shanks in the oven at 5am, and allows them to slowly cook for hours till fall-apart tender. They are cooked IN our traditional tomato and vegetable sauce, so that all the natural flavours develop and deepen over time. Just like you would at home – if you had the time.
We use only the best produce: Prime Aussie Lamb, that’s been french-trimmed by hand. The sauce is made to a traditional recipe, and includes our own stock, tomato, garlic, with rosemary, thyme and bay leaves. (And, of course, red wine.) The oil we use is Tuscan olive oil.
Our Slow-Roasted Lamb Shanks come in a double pack (to share), and also in a single-serve (one shank served with our creamy mashed potato).
The shanks are gluten-free and dairy free. The single serve is gluten-free (because of the butter and cream added to the mash).
The perfect winter warmer, and very healthy and nourishing as comfort food.
