Slow-Cooked Beef Cheeks - Unbelievable Depth of Flavour
This amazing dish is truly worthy of a place on the menu of any fine dining restaurant. It's really not often you're able to find a dish with this amount of depth of flavour. It has the beefiest of beefy flavour.
Our chef has slowly-cooked these beef cheeks for 4 hours until they are, literally, fall-apart soft and tender (which you can see in the photo).
The cheeks are served in a rich, deep red wine and mushroom sauce, which includes speck, a little carrot and garlic. The sauce has been made with our own beef stock, and we're able to get such great flavour because this has again been slowly developed for hours.
If you love beef cheeks, you'll feel very spoiled. It's very difficult to find them in restaurants, and nigh on impossible to find a way of eating them whenever you want at home - without having to cook them yourself. And how many of us have that amount of time spare?
They are a meal-to-share size, a generous serve for 2 people - all you have to do is add your own sides. They're a great dinner party favourite for when you're having friends around, but don't want to spend the whole day in the kitchen. And a great way to reward yourself for a job well done - or simply for having survived the day!
