You can tell it's REAL food - even when it's frozen. We believe in making and eating real food. Food that's made by hand, using only the best ingredients. With care and attention, and time for the flavours to slowly develop - just like you would at home.
Take our Vegetable Lasagna. Our Italian chef makes all the pasta fresh every day, by hand, using Australian Durum wheat. Layers of silky soft pasta are covered with tomato sauce using Italian tomatoes and paste with onions, garlic, oil and fresh basil. Bechamel Sauce (full cream milk, butter and a little nutmeg) is added, together with fresh pumpkin, zucchini, and ricotta; white wine, eggs, celery, onion, garlic, olive oil, and salt and pepper. Mozarella is added, and then grated aged Grana Padano cheese from Italy are added. That's it. No chemicals, preservatives, additives, thickeners, 'milk solids'. 'dried whole milk', canola oil, colours........
We don't need any additives: as soon as they're cooked our lasagne and cannelloni are snap-frozen to seal in the nutrients and flavours. Meaning they contain only real food. Just like you would at home.
