This simple yet nourishing dish is a welcome heart-warmer at the end of any day

Our chef’s tried and true recipe base is of pure Aussie lamb and beef, gently cooked in our own home-made stock and gravy. The pie is topped off with our soft mashed potato that's made with a generous amount of butter.  (No ‘milk solids’ or ‘thickeners’ here, it’s made the old-fashioned way - with real cream and butter.)

Originating from family farm kitchens in the UK and Ireland, Cottage Pie has been adopted as an Aussie favourite for generations. Our chef has used their own recipe to continue on with this tradition, giving you a meal that truly tastes as if it was made in a country kitchen. Home-made food without you having to spend hours making it yourself.

Perfect for a really satisfying dinner when you feel like a little nurturing - or as a rainy day lunch. A meal in itself on it’s own - or try serving with some extra green peas, or lightly steamed beans and carrots.

Ingredients:
Beef, Lamb, our beef stock (water, beef bones, tomato, tomato pieces, onion, carrot, celery, garlic, bayleaf, peppercorns, salt, onion powder, spice), onion, carrot, red wine peas, celery, oil, Worcestershire sauce (vinegar, molasses, water, golden syrup, tamarind, salt, garlic and onion vegetable powders, spices), gluten-free flour (rice flour, maize starch, tapioca starch, dextrose, thickener), tomato paste (concentrated tomato 99%, salt), salt, thyme, bay leaf, black pepper.  Mashed Potato:  potato, cream, unsalted butter (milk, water, milk fat), salt, pepper

Heating Instructions:

Open lid.  Preferably place meal into a ceramic dish.  If not, place container on a plate to heat in microwave.  Alternatively, place container on a plate to heat in microwave.

Microwave: (If thawed) Heat for 2 minutes. Then heat for another minute. Let stand for 1 minute before serving. (Time may vary according to microwave oven.)
If still frozen - add extra heating time.
